Haiku Excerpts from Havana

Heartbreaking beauty

In the streets of Havana.

Anthony was right.

A blind musician

looks into my soul, singing

Guantanamera.

I felt nostalgia

for a time before my years,

like a past life dream.

Foggy memories,

prompt familiarity,

yet so different.

Necessity breeds

Innovative ways of life,

Resourceful people.

Which sense to believe?

sensory overload.

Layers of allure.

I don’t want to leave,

But I will come back someday.

Thank you Havana.
